00:00 / 02:50

I Love Country Radio

I got something that makes me happy

Anytime day or night

Any drama, any situation

That’s why I love my country music station

        Radio, Radio

        I love country Radio

In the car with Mama and Daddy

Just a kid with a radio heart

Ain’t nothing changed just a different generation

I’ve always loved my country music station

      All the memories……tell my story

Of growing up and skipping stones

      That 1st kiss. I remember

      Ohh-ooh

Me and my Sisters at the swimming hole

Peanut butter and saltine crackers

Just having fun, it ain’t that complicated

I’ll always love my country music station

American Gurl
00:00 / 03:02

American Gurl

I live down the street, in a little white house

Everybody I know waves hi

I got an attitude if I need to

But I’m sweet as peach pie

I am that Gurl, that American Gurl

From the brown in my eyes to the red in my blood

With a rock and roll guitar, and singing in church

I am that Gurl, an American Gurl,

        American Gurl

It’s a full moon tonight, gonna have a good time

Hey, who wants to go with me?

Gotta be dancing with a jukebox

And love me some Steve Earle

I am that Gurl, that American Gurl

From the brim of my hat to the dirt on my boots

From a big blue sky to God’s green earth

I am that Gurl, an American Gurl

        American Gurl

I am that Gurl, that American Gurl

From the brown in my eyes to the red in my blood

With a rock and roll guitar, and singing in church

I am that Gurl, an American Gurl

       American Gurl

From a little Georgia farm to New York town

Just a little bit of heaven before you die

Everybody wants a piece of that American Pie

Lola’s on a roof top pounding nails

Justin selling boots under a Texas sky

Gotta have a slice of that American Pie

                                              Drunk Text U

I gonna drunk text U

It might not be the right thing to do

But I need the courage to feel

‘Cause when I’m sober the feelings too real

I’m gonna do a shot

So I can get one last shot with you

I’ll drink the whisky, to see if you miss me

It might take bourbon, to tell you I’m still hurting

I’ll sip on red, red wine, ‘cause I want you to be all mine

One last time, I’m gonna drunk text U, one last time.

Drunk words are sober thoughts

And they feel so good for a love gone lost

It might be a big mistake

But one that I’m willing to make

I’m gonna do a shot

So I can get one last shot with you

I’ll drink the whisky, to see if you miss me

It might take bourbon, to tell you I’m still hurting

I’ll sip on red, red wine, ‘cause I want you to be all mine

One last time, one last time.

I want to say all the things that I shouldn’t say

And I know it’s not right

But maybe they’ll be something that makes you

              Wanna be with me tonight

I'll drink the whiskey, to see if you miss me

It might take bourbon, to tell you I'm still hurting

I'll sip on red, red wine, ' cause I want you to be all mine

         One Last time

         I'm gonna drunk text you

                                Rain In My Guitar

Strings and chrome and ebony

My old guitar knows me

And late at night when there’s no one here

You always tell my story

And for everything you’ve ever done for me

I want to thank you for the little songs I sing

Cause It don’t rain in my guitar

The only storm is in my head

Play me some old song, to help me along

            And take away the blame

But damn the rain only makes me remember

How long I’m gonna love her for

I feel a storm coming up this morning

            The sky is gonna pour

When she was here, I’d watch her dance

And I’d play a melody

But what can ever save me now

When the night blows right thru me

My old friend don’t forget me or doubt me

I know things will never be same

But it don’t rain in my guitar

The only storm is in my head

Play me some old song, to help me along

            And take away the blame

But damn the rain only makes me remember

How long I’m gonna love her for

I feel a storm coming up this morning

            Sky is gonna pour

The Last Time I Saw Ray
00:00 / 04:06
Walk On
00:00 / 04:30
A Beautiful Day
00:00 / 03:15

The Last Time I Saw Ray

The last time I saw Ray, was in the parking lot at Wal-Mart

He was loading up a charcoal grill

In the back of a ’85 Oldsmobile

He was headed out to Vegas

And his plates had just expired

He said the police, couldn’t catch him

He was invisible, and then he smiled

The sun was getting hot, I think it was Sunday

The last time I saw Ray

Now Ray lit a cigarette; he had 3 beers in the car

He said he needed to get started

and he didn’t know how far, he’d get

But the miles would be his pillow

And he could rest when he got there

Safe in the arms of Jesus, on the floor or in a chair

He hit the gas, burned the tires and drove away

The last time I saw Ray

Now a man can only try and live this life the best he can

Oh and some get lost and some get saved

Looking for the Promised Land.

And aren’t we all just praying to somehow find our way

Just a Pilgrim, we are all Pilgrims

A wandering Pilgrim, just like Ray

Now the last time I saw Ray,

He was all dressed up and he’d had a shave

The color of faded marble

He’d given up the ghost and all his troubles

And he looked just like an angel

Underneath his weathered skin

He’d run the race, the best he could

And he’d made it to the end

Oh we buried him down and it rained that day
The last time I saw Ray, yeah

Oh, I’m just a wandering Pilgrim

Oh, I’m just like Ray

A wandering Pilgrim just like Ray

Walk On

I’m tired of being sorry for the way that I feel

I never wanted this; I just pray that time will heal

If I could change my heart to stop hurting you this way

I would but I know I’ve got to some how find the faith

        To walk on, walk on

God give me the courage to

Be out there on my own

        And walk on, walk on

The hardest part is knowing you will never understand

But the longer that I stay the more it’ll hurt you in the end

You’ve given up your heart to me

But mine is filled with doubt

And you deserve the kind of love that I can’t give you now

So I walk on, walk on

God give me the courage to be out there on my own

                 I can’t keep holding on

Cause I’m scared of being alone

I know I may stumble but

In time I’ll find my way

         And walk on, Walk on

God give me the courage to

Be out there on my own

I'll be strong and walk on, walk on

It’s A Beautiful Day

It’s a beautiful day, it’s a beautiful day

When I’m with you, it’s a beautiful day

Even if it rains, that’ll be o.k.

Cause’ It’s a beautiful day, when I’m with you

You got a beautiful smile, you got a beautiful smile

That’s what I say; it’s just a beautiful day

When I see your face, I just wanna say hey, hey, girl

It’s a beautiful day, when I’m with you

We don’t got to go nowhere

You don’t need to change a thing

Just keep on loving me the way you do

            Cause’ it’s a beautiful day, it’s a beautiful day

            When I’m with you

I love a summer day, but it’s a beautiful day

Just being with you, it’s a beautiful day

Girl, don’t make me wait, put on your Hollywood shades

It’s a beautiful day, just being with you

We don’t got to go nowhere

You don’t need to change a thing

Just keep on loving me the way you do

            Cause’ it’s a beautiful day, it’s a beautiful day

            When I’m with you

And when the lights go down in the city

And I’m holding you safe in our world

That’s the end of a perfect day

                        Cause you’re my girl

We don’t got to go nowhere

You don’t need to change a thing

Just keep on loving me the way you do

            Cause’ it’s a beautiful day, it’s a beautiful day

            When I’m with you
